| Shan Shan (Typhoon#13) After super typhoon, there's another big one coming... Shan Shan ended up to bring a lot of disaster in Japan and it wasn't very good for surfing-wise... But I chased it anyway to see what happen to this place... Although Japanese-Nias did not show (wrong wind direction), I could see max wave at that place. Check out photos! |

     Here's Ala Moana Bowls.  Here's Maaraea...                   Also, J-bay comes to here.     Smaller wave peeling sweetly along channel...  And bigger wave breaks beyond the harbor entrance buoy.     Smash!!  Note the lone boggie-boarder inside the wave. He was the only guy out by this time...  |
